Amenities and facilities

Experience the originality of Ugandan village life and immerse in the everyday life of people in Busu village. Gain genuine insight into Uganda’s cultures and mentality of the people in Busoga.

Discover the many areas, equipment and common spaces that together can offer you a most authentic and relaxing experience, far from mainstream touristic tracks.

Rustic cottages

The farm has different rustic cottages and rooms, accommodating from 1 to 10 people and totaling a maximum of up to 12 people at once. Depending on workshops and events, at any time there could be from 3 to 20 visitors at the farm.

Camping

Besides the cottages, we’ve also got plenty of space for camping and a fire circle next to the farm, great for roasting marshmallows and playing music in the evening.

Meals

We truly practice a “farm-to-table” dining experience… Each and every day, crops are harvested from the garden or bought from the community in Busu village and used immediately for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is always a wide variety of fresh Ugandan fruits and veggies to make up the most delicious buffet feasts for all!

Bathrooms

We have private and shared pit latrine toilets and cold showers around stone house Farm. We can boil water for a bath on an open fire- making very hot water when in action!

Meeting space

We have a grass thatched hut that seats up to 20 people. We can also pitch a Gazebo to provide space for the many sessions of our various workshops about permaculture and agroecology.

Craft workshops

We offer Ugandan craft workshops during which we create unique local jewelry from vegetables, recycled paper beads, banana fibre, back cloth or make bowls and spoons from gourd, and lots more! We also do paper recycling, where we can show you how to recycle your used paper into beads, or organic products workshops.

Ugandan cultural musical instruments workshop.

Immerse yourself in Ugandan culture through music, dance, and rich traditions. Uganda offers a vibrant and diverse cultural experience, with music and dance playing a central role in traditional ceremonies, celebrations, and storytelling.

Join a group of established and skilled local Ugandan – Busu village musicians providing music lessons and training to stone house farm guests. Learn to play Mbaire( Xylophones) Adungu, Endingidi, Nkwanzi, the Ugandan flute and more.

Chill out area

At the end of the day, chill out in the hammocks all around the farm or around the fire. 

Children’s playground

We have a space to play in the village! Equipped with goal posts for soccer 

Self guided walk   

On our self-guided tour you are given simple instructions of the farm and community which collocates to our marked spots all around the farm. Read the information to learn about our alternative energy, composting systems, local culture and agriculture, geography and climate agricultural techniques and plant life. 

Digital detox

Due to the fact that we don’t have wi-fi access throughout the farm, you can get a well deserved digital detox. Connection is available in the wi-fi area, connect with Nature as you connect to the internet.

  1. Solar powered electricity available in all rooms and common areas to charge all electronic devices.
  2. Unlimited WiFi available throughout the premises.
  3. Multiple gazebos with hammocks, couches, lounge chairs, and spaces to hang out, do work, or enjoy a few beverages. Our gazebos are the perfect spot to hold your special event or party.
  4. A full tiki bar, café, and restaurant for your 24/7 enjoyment.
  5. Bonfire pit for nighttime gatherings and social events.
  6. Grass thatched Zen shade house offering a nice place to cool off on hot days.
  7. 3 Grass thatched 1 pole huts offering lovely space to cooloff outdoors
  8. Natual bush shelter made out of trees and flowers to create a lovely natural extra space to cool off.
  9. We offer farm tours so our guests can see firsthand permaculture regenerative agriculture in action. about our organic, permaculture-designed farm.
  10. Motorcycles available to rent (at an extra charge) to explore surrounding areas in Busu village or Iganga town.

Outdoor Wood fired kitchen to coo your own meals, and cook your favorite meat or vegetables.
