Family Stays

Stay with a native family in Iganga Uganda on a village stay

In Busu village, just outside Iganga town, you stay on a small farm of an indigenous family. Here you have a small, but comfortable house with a traditional bathroom and a fireplace. The inhabitants of Busu village live from horticulture (vegetables, corn, bananas, beans and more) and weaving. You have meals with the family and get the chance to really go ‘local’. If you want you can participate in the daily activities of the  family in Busu village.

There is no better way to get to know the life of the local Busu village community.

With our ideal setting in Busu village and our tranquil atmosphere, families love to relax at Stonehouse and enjoy authentic one-of-a-kind Ugandan village experiences, far from the hustle and bustle of the big cities like Kampala and Jinja

We offer ideal private, family friendly accommodation, nestled in a peaceful nature, a handful of village and community tours and activities.
