What do our community farmers need in order to proseper?
What are the essential requirements for farmers in our community to boost their farming activities? Initially, a crucial factor is the availability of top-notch agricultural goods. Secondly, they must have opportunities for learning about optimal techniques and receiving advice on nurturing crops and livestock suitable for their particular soil. Lastly, a safe storage solution is essential for preserving their harvests to ensure year-round sustenance for their families. Additionally, being able to market their farm’s animal and poultry products is vital for their overall success
How farming helps:
In Uganda and many parts of Africa, farming is where extreme poverty tends to be most prevalent. The majority of individuals living on $1 per day are those involved in farming. If each family within our community could enhance their agricultural output on their existing land and also raise poultry or livestock, they could collectively combat poverty and food insecurity effectively within our region.
Farming truly serves as the driving force behind Uganda’s progress. When farmers are empowered to increase their productivity, they pave the way for prosperity for numerous families, which is why our focus is on Stone House Farm.
