Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Resilience in Busoga, East Uganda
The traditional Busoga livelihood in East Uganda faces increasing threats from climate change, particularly droughts that cause starvation, disease, and poverty by devastating livestock and crops. At Stone House Farm, we are committed to addressing this urgent crisis through innovative regenerative agriculture practices that ensure a reliable, year-round supply of nutritious organic food.
Located in Busu Village, Iganga District, Stone House Farm champions sustainable farming methods designed to empower local communities. Our goal is to introduce and promote sustainable agriculture approaches that boost self-sufficiency, create financial opportunities, and preserve Busoga’s rich cultural heritage.
By demonstrating permaculture and eco-friendly farming techniques such as solar power utilization, rainwater harvesting, composting, and recycling, Stone House Farm serves as a model for environmental stewardship and sustainable living. We actively provide education and support to inspire other communities across Uganda to establish their own regenerative farms and build climate-resilient food systems.
Join us in cultivating a sustainable future for East Uganda—where tradition meets innovation to protect livelihoods and nurture the land.
