Here at Stone house farm, we like to think we can provide a unique and personal outing for groups of all sizes. We are making it our aim to offer transparent, educational visits in order to enhance the learning experience for pupils and teachers alike about farming in Busu village.
Visits to the farm can be tailored to meet the needs of your children. We can provide trips for Primary 1 upto primary 7 and we would also love to host visits by a range of complex needs schools as well. We want to provide you with a cross-curricular learning experience which engages and includes children with a range of abilities and interests.
We can also help with follow-up lesson ideas and information in order to create an immersive experience which carries on long after you have returned back to school.
A standard tour last for 60 minutes and consists of visiting different areas of the farm to explain what we do and why we do it. The key parts of the trip include visiting the Goats Paddock, our rabbit house, visiting our cows, learning about the range of poultry we have on the farm and experiencing the machinery and tools that is essential to starting a small farming project.
It is our aim to offer a personalised experience so we are happy to either do a general tour or focus on specific areas, such egg production or life cycles. This is a question which may be asked at the time of booking in order to prepare the trip to be as educational as possible.
