Please Note – Off-Grid Facilities & Animal Information at Stone House Farm

Stone House Farm is a proud off-grid eco-homestead located in Iganga, Uganda. We do not have mains running water; instead, we rely on harvested rainwater to meet our water needs.

  • Our bathrooms use pit latrines with seats and flushing systems for comfort.

  • We have two unisex bathrooms—one outdoor and one inside the main house.

  • For guests who prefer not to squat, the main house bathroom features a modern toilet seat latrine.

  • Showers are available with either cold water or hot water heated over an open fire.

  • Because the nearest reliable water source is miles away, we ask guests to kindly conserve water and help us reduce our water footprint.

Regarding animals, we have one friendly working dog named Reo, who is usually kept away from guests to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.

Thank you for understanding and joining us in our commitment to sustainability and authentic rural living.
